Sarah McClaren (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Minnesota. Sarah earned her master’s degree from Adler Graduate School in Richfield, Minnesota and attended her undergraduate studies at St. Catherine University in St. Paul.
Currently, Sarah works with adolescents and adults, both in individual and family settings. She specializes in working with clients who want to address disordered eating/body image issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and perfectionism. Sarah approaches therapy from a collaborative lens with each client, wanting to pull from a variety of treatment modalities in order to tailor the therapeutic experience for each client and family. Trained in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic interventions, various mindfulness-based practices, and trauma-informed interventions such as “parts work,” Sarah is committed to a collaborative and compassionate approach with each client.
When not working, Sarah and her spouse enjoy going to the lake with their two dogs, Fawkes and Raven.
