Working with individuals navigating through eating disorder recovery, has always been a passion of mine. My goal as a therapist, is to provide my clients with a validating, supportive and compassionate environment as they are working through life challenges. I work to instill hope and healing throughout the recovery journey. I have been working in the field of eating disorders since 2011 and have worked in a variety of settings including, PHP, IOP, and outpatient. I have experience working with the adult population (18+) who are struggling with eating disorders, body image concerns, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief. I am also trauma informed. I am deeply passionate about working with athletes of any sport, especially those navigating disordered eating.
I believe all individuals are unique, therefore I work to tailor my treatment plans and techniques to meet individual needs. I incorporate evidence base therapies such as CBT, CBT-E, DBT, CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD).
I grew up in a small town in Minnesota, up on the Iron Range (about 3 hours north of the Twin Cities). I completed a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling at Winona State University. I have a been a runner much of my life, and currently train for marathons. In my free time, I enjoy cheering on Minnesota sports teams and spending time with my family and friends.
