Meghan Schmidt (she/her), MSEd, NCC, offers warmth, support, and acceptance to all her clients. Inclusivity, empathy, and humor are integral to her personality and her work with clients. She practices a client-centered, trauma-informed approach with people of all ages, primarily adolescents and adults. Meghan hopes to meet you on your wellness journey and help you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and your environment.
Meghan believes in the transformative power of connection and the therapeutic relationship. She is committed to building trust through understanding, challenging, and healing. Meghan hopes to join you in integrating your individual, societal, and cultural self. She is skilled in meeting you where you are and allowing you to lead the therapeutic experience. She aims to honor your autonomy and assist you in producing meaningful, lasting change.
Meghan offers individualized therapy to adolescents and adults, utilizing a variety of treatment modalities to help meet your needs. Her areas of interest include mood disorders, suicidality, anxiety, OCD, life transitions, identity exploration, LGBTQIA2s+ care, and those impacted by the corrections system. Her framework is oriented in social justice, sex positivity/inclusivity, body neutrality, and gender and sexuality-affirming care.
Meghan is working under the licensed supervision of Tori Frye, MSE, LPCC, while she pursues licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
