Therapist

Liz Foot (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of MN. Liz received her Master of Science degrees in Nutrition and Clinical Health Psychology from Bastyr University, and has spent most of her career working with children and their families, adolescents, and young adults in a variety of settings.

Liz works from a biopsychosocial model of wellness that acknowledges the impact of systems of oppression as well as other external barriers to well-being. Liz’s approach stems from the philosophy that while pain is often not an individual’s fault, it does not mean they are powerless in the path toward feeling better. Liz aims to respect a client’s autonomy and wisdom about themselves, while providing a place of support and accountability to move toward healing. Liz’s style is compassionate, curious, thoughtful, transparent, and collaborative.

Areas of special interest for Liz are eating disorders or disordered eating, Health at Every Size®, intuitive eating, body acceptance/liberation, life transitions, athletes, relationship stressors, and identity work. Liz makes an effort to tailor therapeutic approaches to the individual, but often draws from CBT, DBT, ACT, and other mindfulness-based modalities.
