Laura is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor located in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Her approach is empathetic, validating, gently challenging, and always trauma-informed and inclusive of the diversity of human experiences.
Laura is passionate about supporting individuals with eating disorders move towards a compassionate relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves.
She utilizes CBT and DBT approaches through an anti-diet lens to help clients challenge their thoughts, develop a greater capacity for self-compassion and self-care, and embrace a life that aligns with their authentic values.
She has experience working with clients with eating disorders of all diagnoses, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, anger and behavioral issues, substance abuse, and relationship challenges.
Laura enjoys working with adults of all ages, and has prior experience working with adolescents age 13-18.
She received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
When she is not working with clients, Laura can be found hanging out with her husband and their three furbabies (two feisty cats and a Siberian Husky), experimenting with recipes in the kitchen, or catching up on her favorite tv shows.
