Andrew is a caring therapist who believes in the importance of having a space to feel accepted as one’s authentic self. He is welcoming toward individuals who come from all backgrounds and identities. He has a strong interest in working with the LGBTQ+ community and the exploration of identity development. He has experience working with individuals who struggle with eating disorders, body image distress, anxiety, depression, and grief/loss. He has a passion for challenging the messages of diet culture and fatphobia. Andrew has worked in multiple therapeutic environments including school-linked, outpatient, community-based, and intensive programming. Andrew’s approach is person-centered, where he believes that warmth and respect are key to building a therapeutic relationship that fosters growth and change. He pulls techniques from DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help clients find ways to cope with life struggles. When he is not working, Andrew enjoys going to concerts when he can, shopping for vinyl, playing video games, and spending time with his cat Sebastian.
