Nicole Uchal

Working with individuals navigating through eating disorder recovery, has always been a passion of Nicole’s. Her goal as a therapist, is to provide clients with a validating, supportive and compassionate environment as they are working through life challenges. Nicole works to instill hope and healing throughout the recovery journey. She has been working in the field of eating disorders since 2011 and has worked in a variety of settings including, PHP, IOP, and outpatient. Nicole has experience working with the adult population (18+) who are struggling with eating disorders, body image concerns, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief. Nicole is also trauma informed. She is deeply passionate about working with athletes of any sport, especially those navigating disordered eating. 

Nicole believes all individuals are unique, therefore she works to tailor her treatment plans and techniques to meet individual needs. She incorporates evidence base therapies such as CBT, CBT-E, DBT, CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD). 

Nicole grew up in a small town in Minnesota, up on the Iron Range (about 3 hours north of the Twin Cities). She completed a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling at Winona State University. She has a been a runner much of her life, and currently trains for marathons. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on Minnesota sports teams and spending time with her family and friends.
